About Tibor Szilagyi jr.

Tibor Szilagyi was born in 1977 in former Czechoslovakia (now Slovakia). He grew up in an artistic environment, his father is a sculptor and his mother showed him the beauty of books. Since childhood he has been fascinated by film and especially cinematography. He followed his dream and after successfully completing his degree (M.A.) at the Academy of Performing Arts in Bratislava (cinematography), he began work as a freelance cinematographer. His works include TV shows and low budget feature films. In addition to this he creates sculptures. All of them were inspired by music (either one more song). For example the sculpture No.1 was inspired by "Toccata and Fuge in D Minor" played by famous violinist Vanessa Mae. The piece represents birth of a new music and an attempt to break free from its "mother".. The first was originally intended as a gypsum model for a sculpture of bigger dimensions (which was never finished). Since many people liked the model, the author decided to cast it in bronze. Others were intentionally created as small plastic art
